Making Zombies and Automating Drama
Dec. 24th, 2009 10:43 am I just happened across this and would like to share it with the people on my flist who like such things: How the AI in Left 4 Dead Works
For those who don't know these things, Left 4 Dead is not just about Zombies, it's one of the first games to create bad guys on-the-fly with the intention of controlling player mood and fun. There's also a great bit on "natural" path-finding and some really interesting concepts on how to build bots (which is something I've not done before so it might be old hat but it's new to me!).
