Last weekend was very, very fun.

On Friday me and [livejournal.com profile] miss_amaranth went to Oblivion, our first ever fetish club with RJ and V. It also turned out that [livejournal.com profile] fire_kitten, DD and [livejournal.com profile] xanna were there so it was much easier to relax with even more people we knew being there. Given the nature of it all, I might make a [filter:kink] post about the activities at some point...

On Saturday it was RJ's belated birthday party. We met a whole bunch of fun and awesome people, including [livejournal.com profile] fred_wednesday who was particularly lovely. During the day there was lots of relaxing, talking and chilling. The main talking point was how the dinner was being cooked. A few large sides of meat were prepared, wrapped in tin foil, put on the embers of the fire, and buried. 7 hours later, they were dug up, unwrapped and was some of the tastiest meat I've ever had. I was very impressed.

As the evening continued there was cuddles, kisses, relaxation and a wonderfully chilled out atmosphere throughout. I chatted to lots of lovely new people, was involved in a cuddle puddle and there was a very lovely poly moment.

During the night there was a huge thunderstorm. Very unnerving to be in a tent with that going off around you, but the tent we were in held up wonderfully, not a drop of water got in.

Sunday was more of the same with lots of relaxing, a hearty breakfast, cuddles, conversation and a group effort cleaning everything up meant that it didn't really feel like a lot of work at all.

Now, I'm very busy getting everything packed for BiCon! Exciting times! See most of you there *grin bounce*

Well, this is a bit annoying in a good way.

Whilst thinking about trying to ask someone if they'd like to meet up for a "maybe-date" I went into my calendar to find the next weekend I'm free. Turns out it's July. Mid-July if I'm planning to go to London and Derby Prides.

So, much like when shopping for shoes (when you're size 12 it's rare to get more than 3 options from an entire shop), it's now probably easier to ask "Who is free/Wants to join me" rather than trying to hunt out specific encounters with people.

So, this is what I have planned. Comment or contact if you'd like to join in *smiles*

Join us, won't you? Thank you. )

Talk about crazy, eh?

Wowzers. The last few days have been Busy. Can't possibly think why. Perhaps a recap is in order?

I found out the lovely Dominey is coming back to England and spent about a day finding the best possible way to meet her at the airport and then crash in London. Interesting fact: the coaches and the trains around here and London are on a par with each other, except the coaches are cheaper.

Then on Saturday was no less than The Big Day - Oxford BiFest 2010. The day went absolutely fantastic, at least from where I was standing. I didn't get to do half as much socialising as I had wanted (especially with the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] blazingrowan) owing to a lapse into "organiser-who-spends-the-whole-day-checking-everywhere" mode. Highlights include the meet-and-greet at the station, [livejournal.com profile] miss_amaranth's first workshop, [livejournal.com profile] oilrig's Friends and Allies, the time spent on the desk in the evening (for 3 hours it sure did fly by) especially when certain attendees came to keep me company. The team are writing up a full announcement which will be posted soon but I just, personally, want to thank [livejournal.com profile] d_floorlandmine for the great music, the venue staff for putting on such yummy food and cheap drinks and everyone who came and made it the success it was!

On Sunday was the walks around Oxford, led by the very knowledgeable [livejournal.com profile] anarchist_nomad. I didn't join until quite late owing to a need to sleep that was pretty extreme. When I got there it was great to hang out with the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] just_becky as well as the two lovely people whose name I don't remember so if anyone can remind me that'd be lovely.

That evening we had a really good "tribe" (I'm still deciding what name I want to use here) gathering, which ended in lots of cuddles and then very yummy burgers!

Monday evening we had a debrief. The specifics relating to BiFest will be announced in due course, but in terms of Bisexual Oxford it was very good. We had a lot to get through and through it we got. We formalised a structure, came up with some really cool ways to look more professional and I've got some really high hopes for the team and the group. Again, specific announcements will made in the [livejournal.com profile] bisexual_oxford community when we've written them up.

Today I have been setting things up, making things work and occasionally doing my job! When I get home I need to start bringing my flat up from "squalid" to "impressively clean" as I'm expecting house guest on Saturday.

Speaking of which, it seems some people missed this last time so...

Hey everyone,

This is to let you know that my birthday party is going to be on the 3rd of April in the evening. I'm planning to keep it pretty quiet (after BiFest I'm just not going to have the brains to do anything fancy) with a nice meal at the lovely Indian restaurant in Eynsham called the Spiceorama.

If you're planning to come, please let me know in the comments *smiles*
