I go £2.56 overdrawn, for less than 24 hours, because of their interest charge and now they want £20 for it?

Clearly £6bn isn't enough for some people...

A complete scam!

This is done regularly by banks in the US -- who will even order your purchases for the day with the highest amount first to maximize the number of overdrafts they can charge you for -- but I had not seen it here yet. Barclays, which has many other faults, has not done this to me. Which bank is screwing you over thusly?

RBS - see subject :P

If it wasn't that I owe them an inordinate amount of money I'd have gone to Barclays ages ago.

This is so ridiculous. Did you phone them and complain?

If you make a fuss they will probably retract it (believe me on this, having worked for a bank, it's worth a go!)

I have done. I've got a complaint open with them and I'll be ringing again Wednesday if I've not heard anything.
